JT Sawtooth-Wave Jig

Higher capacity and lower energy use than a diaphragm jig

JT Sawtooth-Wave Jig

The sawtooth-wave jig was designed to overcome the low capacity and high energy use of diaphragm jigs. Its sawtooth pulsation curve lets heavy particles in the fine fractions settle fully and greatly reduces hutch water, improving recovery while saving energy.

  • Jig bed area 0.57–4.86 m², trapezoidal or rectangular cells
  • Feed size <6 to <25 mm, capacity 1.5–25 t/h
  • Roughing of coarse heavy minerals: placer gold, alluvial tin, tungsten
Suitable minerals: Roughing and recovery of coarser heavy minerals such as placer gold, alluvial tin, tungsten, tantalum-niobium, iron and manganese.

WORKING PRINCIPLE

Working Principle

Water pulses up and down through the screen plate, alternately loosening and compacting the bed. Heavy particles settle faster, pass through the bed and report under the screen as concentrate; light particles stay on top and overflow with the water as tailings.
